I am a visual artist, curator, and writer. In my studio I work in drawing, painting, and small-scale sculpture. My practice is shaped by a belief in art’s liberatory potential and by long-term collaborations with incarcerated artists. This work has led me to write about artmaking in prisons and to curate exhibitions of artwork created inside. My practice is fully symbiotic: each part informs and strengthens the others.
